Ribaudo, of Pittston, died Thursday, February 16, 2012, in Pittston.
She was
born February 1, 1939, in Pittston, daughter of the late Leonardo
Ribaudo and Mary (Barella) Ribaudo.
She
loved casinos and horse racing.
Surviving
are brothers, Sam Ribaudo, Pittston; Leo and wife Gloria Ribaudo,
Pittston; Joe and wife Margaret Ribaudo, Las Vegas, Nev.; sisters,
Caroline Golomb, Bethlehem; Betty Olivieri, Old Forge; niece and
caretaker Debby Gilchrist. She is also survived by many loving nieces
and nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was also preceded in
death by sisters, Frances Castiglione and Anna Bellomo.
Surviving are nephews,

(Callahan) Mariani, of Exeter, passed away February 5, 2012, in Exeter.
She was
born September 3, 1925, Pittston, daughter of the late Raymond and Jesse
(Harrison) Callahan.
Her
husband, Leo Mariani, died in 1995. She was also preceded in death by
brother Raymond Callahan and sister Margaret Catell.
Surviving
are son, Leo, and wife Sylvia Mariani. She is also survived by her dog,
GiGi, whom she so loved and adored.

Michael L.
Morreale
Michael
L. Morreale, 77, of Wyoming, passed away on January 27, 2012 surrounded
by his family at home.
Born in
Pittston on February 17, 1934, he was the son of the late Melchiore and
Maria (DeMarco) Morreale.
Michael
graduated from Pittston High School, Class of 1951.
He was
preceded in death by his wife, Jean, and brother Salvatore Morreale.
He is
survived by sons, Michael and wife Ann Marie, Dallas; John and wife
Lois, Duryea, and David and wife Lisa, Pittston Township; nine
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, and companion, Edythe Vann,
brother John and sister Concetta Battista.
Michael was
proprietor of Morreale's Mid-City Service for 60 years and Pittston Auto
Sales for 48 years.
He was
elected and served as Luzerne County Treasurer for 32 years, from 1980
to 2012 and was recently honored for his years of dedicated service by
the Luzerne County Commissioners. Throughout his tenure as Treasurer he
served as a Trustee on the Luzerne County Retirement Board, was a member
of the PA Treasurer's Association and served as President, and was also
a Northeast Trustee for the Association. During his term as treasurer,
he instituted a lost and found feature in the Luzerne County
dog-licensing program and also established various locations throughout
the county where residents could purchase their dog licenses without
traveling to the courthouse. Michael was totally committed to public
service and embraced a life-long dedication to helping the residents of
Luzerne County.
He was an
avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the NRA, the National
Wildlife Turkey Federation and the Quality Deer Management.
Michael
generously donated to many sports organizations, hunting associations,
churches and civic organizations. For many years, he sponsored a
Pittston Little League team, girls and boys softball leagues, and an
annual girls softball tournament. Michael was a member of the Pittston
Township Lions Club, the Wyoming Valley
Elks Club Association, the Wilkes-Barre UNICO, Italian American
Association of Luzerne County and he was a life-long member of Saint
Rocco's Church.
Funeral

hours will be held at the funeral home today from 3 to 7 p.m. and Monday
from 4 to 7 p.m.

Manganiello; grandfathers, Rosario Piccillo and Ludwig Manganiello;
grandmother, Dorothy Manganiello; and uncle, Salvatore Piccillo.
Surviving him are sons, Dakotah Stoshick and
Michael Manganiello; sisters, Lisa and her husband, J.P. Ferlick,
Christine and companion, Austin Krashnak, and Susan Manganiello;
grandmother, Lillian Piccillo; nephews, Vincent Krashnak, Noah Harvey,
Tyler Ferlick; nieces, Brielle Harvey, Savannah Harvey, Alexa Harvey,
and Isabella Krashnak; brother-in-law, T.J. Harvey; sisters-in-law,

Kaspriskie, 87, of Dupont died Tuesday morning January 24, 2012 at
Kindred Hospital of Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre.
Born on
September 01, 1924 in Taylor, she was the daughter of the late Louis and
Jenny Gagliardi DeBiasi of Duryea.
She
graduated from Duryea High School and attended Lackawanna Business
College in Scranton.
Prior to
her retirement she worked in the local garment industry for over 25
years.
She was
also a member of Holy Mother of Sorrows church in Dupont and the ILGWU.
She was
preceded in death by her husband Paul J. Kaspriskie in 2003, her sister
Ann Williams and brother Carmen DeBiasi.
She is
survived by her sons Paul and his wife Gloria of Exeter, Gary at home,
grandchildren Amy, Sara and Paul of Exeter and numerous nieces and
nephews.

many favorite pastimes; the two of which gave her the most joy were
crocheting afghans and cooking for her family and friends.

Carpenito; sister, Francine Scafide.

Angelo Graziano and Laura (Graziano) Graziano.

Clover, S.C.; a sister, Loretta Codgen, Glendora, Calif.; two grandsons,
Joseph Dominick, Old Forge; and John Pilosi, Easton; four
granddaughters, Danielle Castaldi, Old Forge; Julie Bakos, Johnstown;
Laura Landino, Charlotte, N.C.; and Lisa Solimine, Sloatsburg, N.Y.; and
nine great-grandchildren.
She was
also preceded in death by a brother, Dominick Graziano; two sisters,
Frances Giordano and Mable Holgash; and a son, Joseph Dominick.

D. Casagrande, a resident of Pittston, passed away Monday, January 9,
2012, in Pittston.
He was born April 17, 1928, in Pittston, a son of the late Rose (Rodola)
Casagrande and the late Emilio Casagrande.
He was the husband of the late Theresa (Marino) Casagrande.
He was a proud owner of Casagrande & Son Painting.
He was a member of the U.S. Army, serving in the
Korean Conflict.
Cas took great pride in his gardening.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Alma Alaimo and Marie Kronman.
Surviving are son, Emilio, and wife Linda Casagrande of Harding;
daughter, Elizabeth, and husband Mike Domarasky of Pittston; sisters,
Corinne Collins of Pittston; Helene Faillace of Fredericksburg, Va.;
Roseann Pappas of Saratoga, N.Y. He will be sadly missed by his
grandchildren, whom he so loved and adored; grandsons, Michael Domarasky,
Emilio Casagrande; granddaughters, Marissa Casagrande and Theresa
Domarasky.

M. (Brooks) Slesinski, 57, resident of Pittston, passed away, Monday,
January 2, 2012 in Wilkes-Barre.
Born on May
8, 1954, in Detroit, Mich., she was a daughter of the late Robert and
Alma (Ponczek) Brooks.
Surviving
her are her husband, Mike Slesinski; son, Matthew Slesinski; daughters,
Marianne and her husband, Charles Montagna; Rebecca Slesinski and her
husband, Joseph Maslar; brother, Douglas R., and his wife, Margaret E.
Brooks; granddaughters, Ava Montagna and Caitlyn Maslar; grandsons,
Christopher Maslar and Cory Maslar; niece, Irina Brooks; and nephew,
T.J. Shatzel.
She was a
member of the PTA at St. James School while living in Montague, Mich.,
where she was also a Girl Scout leader.
She was a
secretary at St. Margaret's School in Kalamazoo, Mich., where she was
also a school bus driver.
She then
went on to become a booster club president at Wyoming Area Catholic.
During her
time as a member of St. Maria Goretti Parish, she was a Eucharistic
Minister as well as a CCD Teacher. She also ran the bingo tent at church
picnic. She enjoyed being a part of the yearly Christmas Follies in the
parish community.

Nellie
(Carmella) DeRosa Butera, 100, a resident of Wesley Village, died
January 1, 2012.
Born on October 6, 1911 in Serradifalco, Sicily, she came to America at
the age of 5 months.
She was the spouse of Angelo Butera, who died on January 30, 1992.
She was the eldest of five daughters of the late Anna (Rollo) and John
DeRosa.
She was preceded in death by sons, Gasper, Blue Bell, Pa., and John,
Pittston; sisters Rose Pelonero, Carrie DeGennaro, Bessie DeRosa and
Mary Barrette.
Nellie was a longtime resident of Frothingham Street, Pittston. She
later resided with her son John and his wife, Joyce, prior to becoming a
resident of Wesley Village in 2008.
She is survived by daughter-in-laws, Antoinette, Blue Bell, and Joyce,
Pittston; grandchildren, Angelo and wife Nancy, Michael, George and wife
Laura, Carmella and husband Albert Fereck; Christine and husband Sam
Parry; John and wife Rose. She had 10 great-grandchildren.
Nellie was a loving and caring woman who loved to take walks in the

L. (Gigliello) Alba, 88, passed away after a brief illness on Monday,
Dec. 12, 2011.
She was a lifelong resident of Yatesville and was born March 7, 1923, a
daughter of the late Anna (Serino) Gigliello and the late Anthony
Gigliello.
She enjoyed being a homemaker and caretaker of her children and
grandchildren, and most recently spending time with her new
great-granddaughter.
She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society at Our Lady of Mt.
Carmel R.C. Church.
She was the wife of the late Michael Alba.
She was preceded in death by brothers Peter Gigliello and Daniel
Gigliello; sisters Angeline and husband Leonard Petrillo; Grace and
husband Robert Klush; sister-in-law Mary Gigliello; son-in-law Anthony
Walsh.
Surviving are daughter, Ann Walsh; son, Sal, and wife Florine Alba;
brothers Dominick and wife Arlene Gigliello; Patrick and wife Sara

She is
survived by her husband, Guido (Ted) Lispi.
Together
they had celebrated 59 years of marriage.

Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Graziano) DeGrose
and Luigi DeGrose.
She was a
graduate of Pittston Area High School.
She was
employed as a shoe salesperson and worked many years in the garment
industry in Pittston.
She was an
excellent seamstress, homemaker and cook of traditional Italian food.
She was a
member of St. Rocco's Church, Pittston.
She was
preceded in death by brothers, Michael DeGrose, Samuel DeGrose, Albert
DeGrose, Louis DeGrose and sister Ann DeGrose Hrycena.
She is also
survived by her son, Raymond M. Lispi, and his wife, Brenda; her
daughter, Linda Lizza; her grandchildren, Lee Lispi and his wife, Sarah;
Tina Lispi; Briana Lizza and AJ Lizza; her Aunt Louise Graziano, as well
as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and one godchild, Luann DeGrose.

Terrana Mack died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, November 15, 2011.
She was a
daughter of the late Giovanni and Rose Infantino Terrana.
She was
predeceased in death by her husband, Anthony Mack, on November 16, 2010.
Angie was a
graduate of Pittston High School, class of 1948. She worked at the
Pittston Apparel in her early years.
Prior to
her retirement, she was employed by the Luzerne Intermediate Unit 18.
In addition
to her parents and husband, preceding her in death are sister,
Josephine; brothers, George, Joseph, and Angelo; and sister-in-law,
Dolores Terrana.
She is
survived by niece, Rosemary Dessoye and husband Joseph; nephews,
Attorney John Terrana, Joseph Terrana and wife Cindy, Attorney Angelo
Terrana and wife Nancy, John and wife Margie Terrana, and Rosemary, and
William Reynolds; and several great-nieces and great-nephews,
great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
The family
wished to thank cousin DeeDee Infantino, and neighbors Dina and Randy
Shaw for their continued care and concern.

Dale Klush, 89, of Pittston, passed into eternal life on Wednesday,
October 26, 2011, at Hospice Community Care.
She was born and raised in Pittston, daughter of the late Clifton and
Jeanette Buren Dale.
Mrs. Klush was a graduate of Pittston High School and St. John's
Business School.
Prior to retirement, she was employed by Pittston Hospital and Geisinger
Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church and a member of the
Ladies Auxiliary of the United Transportation Union, Lodge 259.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Constant, in 1959.
Surviving are her sons, Constant and wife Margaret; Robert, with whom
she resided, and Dale; grandchildren, Kimberly (Alan) Kosick, Amy, Jason
and Dale (Stephanie); great-grandchildren, Alison, Dylan and Avrie.
A private funeral and interment will be held at the convenience of the
family.

Born Dec. 5, 1950, in Pittston, son of the late Dr. Joseph A. Fasciana

Guy was a graduate of St. John's High School.
He was the owner and operator of Doc's Sports Bar
for more than 20 years where he sponsored many softball teams. He was a
former member of Fox Hill Country Club.

sister, Marie Catherine Fasciana; and a nephew, Nicholas Fasciana.

G. Cellucci, 81, of Pittston passed away peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 21,
2011, at his home with his family at his side.
Marty, as he was better known to family and friends, was born in Exeter,
the son of the late Gerard and Rose Gregorio Cellucci on Aug. 13, 1930.
He was educated in Nanticoke schools.
He served his country in the U.S.
Army during the
Korean War, attaining the rank of master sergeant.
Prior to his retirement, he worked as an electronics technician at
Tobyhanna Army Depot. In younger years, he was a machinist for
Continental Cigar Co., Moosic.
Although he always said he wasn't good at it, he enjoyed playing golf
and was a former member of the Emanon Country Club, Falls. He was also a
member of the
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1227, Duryea.
He was the husband of the late Rose Giambra Cellucci. Before she passed
away in 2003, Rosie and Marty shared 50 years of marriage.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a
sister, Rita.
He is survived and will be sadly missed by his daughter Arlene Herron
and husband, Bryan, Dallas; sister, Theresa Blasavage, Hughestown; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
Grandchildren, Brianna, Valerie, Lindsay, Natalie, Ian Jeffery, Leah,
and Gregory will also carry the love and memories of their Nana and
Grandpa forever in their hearts.

she was employed by Pittston garment industries, retiring in 1987.
Preceding her in death were her husbands, Louis Talipan, then Ed Ziobro;
brothers, Sam, Paul and Mike; and sisters, Mary, Connie and Eleanor.
All of her children, Joey Lefchak Katz, Lois Graziano, Emilio Talipan
and Rosellen Riddle, give thanks to Taylor Nursing Home and
Compassionate Care Hospice for their outstanding care.
She has 10 grandchildren, Lorie Deren, Shelly Pubins, Michael Lefchak,
Donna Molina, Mark Graziano, Kathleen Foster, Emilio Talipan, Eric
Talipan, Charles Riddle and Louis Riddle; and eight great-grandchildren.

Moore, 80, of Pittston, was called home by our Lord on Friday, Sep. 2,
2011.
Victoria was one of four children of the late Joseph and Laura Policare
Schillaci. Victoria was a graduate of Pittston Area High School, Class
of 1948, and was affiliated with Sandy Dee Fashions and Laura Fashions
in Avoca. Victoria was an active member in the Red Hat Society, a
volunteer for the Sacred Heart Guild.
She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. Her
home was a gathering place for generations, and she most looked forward
to the annual feast of St. Rocco, when her home would overflow with
family, friends, and traditional Italian food.
Victoria was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Moore; a son,
Michael P. Moore, Woodland Hills, Calif.; a grandson, Michael Patrick
Moore; brothers, Marino Schillaci, Exeter; and Rocco Schillaci, Laflin.
Victoria is survived by a son, Gary Moore and wife, Kammy; and
granddaughter, Bria Moore; her daughter, Maria Buczynski and husband,
Henry, Moscow; granddaughter, Victoria Buczynski; grandson, Jake

E. Gemzik of Dupont passed away Wednesday morning, Aug. 31, 2011.
He was the son of the late Joseph Sr. and Agnes Kmiec Gemzik.
Henry is survived by his wife of 53 years, the former Evelyn Bonkiewicz;
daughter, Denise Jemiola and her husband, Kenneth; son, Darren Gemzik
and his wife, Suzette; grandson, Jarrod Jemiola; granddaughters, Kendle
Jemiola, Elizabeth and Evalina Gemzik; brother, Joseph Gemzik Jr.; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward, Frank and John.
He was a graduate of Dupont High School, Class of 1952. After
graduating, he attended Lackawanna Community College and the University
of Scranton, where he received his associate degree in business.
He was a proud member of the U.S. Army until he was honorably discharged
in 1958. He then went on to work for the U.S. Department of Defense at
Tobyhanna Army Depot, where he retired in 1992.
Henry enjoyed his time as a Little League baseball manager.
He was also an avid golfer and fisherman, but most of all he enjoyed
camping with his wife, children and grandchildren.
He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont.
The family would like to thank Dr. Charlie Manganiello, the fifth-floor
staff of Geisinger Medical Center and the staff of Hospice Community
Care at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre for their excellent care and
compassion.

Falzone
Joseph
J. Falzone, formerly of Pittston, died Thursday evening, Aug. 25, 2011,
at Highland Manor Nursing Center, Exeter, where he was currently a
resident.
Born Feb. 14, 1912, in Racalmuto, Sicily, he was the son of the late
Biagio and Maria Castilglione Falzone. He, along with his mother,
immigrated to the United States in 1921. He attended Pittston City
schools.
He was most well-known for his lifelong profession as a barber.
Mr. Falzone was a life member of St. Rocco's Roman Catholic Church in
Pittston and its Fides Club. He was a member of the Racalmuto Society,
the Big Band Society, and he was one of the original founding members
who served on the board of directors of the Emanon Country Club, located
in Falls.
Joe greeted every telephone call with a "good morning" and always
conversed with optimism and a sense of humor. He was an avid golfer who
enjoyed a challenging game of pinochle, dancing, traveling and seeing
shows. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family and
reminiscing of his childhood in Sicily. As a deeply religious person, he
prayed the rosary and was devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
In addition to his first wife, Rita (Alba) Falzone, he was preceded in
death by his daughter, Angie Sadowski, in March 2010; a stepdaughter,
Georgianna Evans; and his sister, Grace Falzone.
Mr. Falzone is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Angeline; son,
Bill Falzone and his wife, Cindy, Wilkes-Barre; daughter, Marie Morganti
and her husband, Peter, West Pittston; and brothers, Edward Falzone,
Cheektowaga, N.Y.; and Frank Falzone, Amherst, N.Y. He is also survived
by his grandchildren, Lauri Moore and her husband, David, Fogelsville;
Rita Gubbiotti and her husband, Thomas, Inkerman; and Nicole Reever and
her husband, Scott, Wyoming; Brian Eovitch, Wilkes-Barre; Jason Evans,
Pittston; Jared Evans, Suscon; six great-grandchildren, and numerous
nieces and nephews.
The Falzone family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the
nurses, nurse's aides and staff of Highland Manor, Exeter, and also to
the nurses and staff of Compassionate Care Hospice for their
extraordinary care.

A. Davis Sr., 77, of Pittston Township passed away Saturday, August 20,
2011, in his home with his wife Joan by his side.
Born in
Beaver Brook, on May 19, 1934, he was a son of the late Thomas Davis and
Catherine (Stauffer) Davis.
He was a
graduate of Hazle Township High School, class of 1951, where he played
the trumpet in the marching band.
He enjoyed

He worked
for Pennsylvania Power and Light for 48 years, starting as a lineman and
retiring as a foreman.
He was a
member and past master of the Moosic Lodge 664, Free and Accepted Masons
of Pennsylvania, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Freemason member of Valley
of Scranton, Lodge Council Chapter Consistory and a former Shriner. He
served on the board of the PennWilco Federal Credit Union.
He was a
loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, who loved spending time
with his family.
Ken enjoyed
working in his yard and had a life-long love of toy trains and model
railroading.
He loved
his pets, which included numerous ponies and dogs over the years.
Ken was
preceded in death by sister, Blodwyn Herring; brothers, Thomas S. Davis
and David E. Davis.
Ken is
survived by his wife, Joan, of 55 years; daughter, Denise Blaker and her
husband Wayne, Pittston Township; daughter, Katherine Davis, Pittston
Township; daughter, Joan King and companion John Wright, Avoca; daughter
Diane Coffin and her husband Daniel, Mountaintop; son, Kenneth A. Davis
Jr. and his wife Kimberly, Mountaintop; eight grandchildren, Joseph
Cottone, Joshua Blaker, Amanda and Matthew King, Hannah, Megan and Noah
Coffin, and Skyler Davis; brother, Harold R. Davis and wife Gloria,
Hazleton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A viewing
will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Graziano Funeral
Home Inc, Pittston Township, with Masonic services being held at 7 p.m.
Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the
funeral home, with interment to follow. at Marcy Cemetery, Duryea.

Paul
Thomas Murphy, 67, of Hughestown, passed away Thursday night, August 18,
2011, surrounded by his family.
Paul was a son of the late James Murphy and
Madeline (Dougher) Murphy.
He was a graduate of Hughestown High School, class
of 1961.
He served in the
U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1965.
He married Maureen Moreck, of Courtdale, in
October, 1968.
Paul worked at the Tobyhanna Army Depot for 31
years, from 1965 until he retired in 1996. He also worked as a courier
for the last several years for Priority Express courier service.
Paul was a member of Hughestown Council. He enjoyed
deer hunting, fishing and spending time at his cabin in Susquehanna
County.
He is survived by his wife, Maureen; daughter
Kelli; son-in-law John Walsh; and grandson, Johnny Walsh, St. Peters,
Mo.; son James, Ambler; daughter Jenn and son-in-law Rob Riordan, Pocono
Lake; son Paul Murphy Jr., Hughestown; brother, Jim and sister-in-law
Loraine Murphy, Hughestown; sister, Mary Ellen Moran, Pittston Township;
sister, Claire and brother-in-law Ned Bohan, Brackney; mother-in-law
Matilda Moreck of Dallas; as well as several nieces and nephews. He is
also survived by his dog Chip.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Karen;
brothers, John "Jack" and Thomas; sister, Sally Callahan; brother-in-law
Leo Moran; and sister-in-law Sylvia Murphy.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the
Sacred Heart and Bayada Nurses for their excellent care.

Emma, 92, a longtime resident of Sebastopol, Jenkins Township, and a
noted musician, died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011, in Hospice Community Care
Center, Wilkes-Barre.
Born May 5, 1919, he was the son of the late Joseph and Carmella
Manganaro Emma. He was a graduate of Jenkins High School and attended
King's College.
He worked at Tobyhanna
Army Depot.
Joseph was a member of Paci's Band.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and served with the U.S. Army Military Band.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William Emma; and three sisters,
Margaret Emma, Mary Pisano and Catherine Micklosky.
Joseph is survived by a sister, Rose Kelly and her husband, Joseph,
Brooks Estates, Jenkins Township; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be handled by Graziano Funeral Home Inc., Pittston

2011, at Riverside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Taylor.
She was the wife of Theodore Jasinski. The couple celebrated their 50th
anniversary June 17, 2011.
Born Oct. 2, 1932, in Pittston, she was a daughter of the late Angelo
Emma and Margaret Terrano Emma.
Surviving relatives include her sisters, Gertrude Belotti, Old Forge;
and Grace Hazenski, Pittston; brother, John Emma, Doylestown; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Carmel Emma, Salvatore Emma
and Joseph Emma.
Services will handled by Graziano Funeral Home Inc., Pittston Township.

Marie Orlando, 62, of Port Griffith passed away in Wilkes-Barrw General
Hospital on Friday, July 22, 2011, surrounded by her loving family and
friends.

late Charles Czyzewicz of Hanover Township.
Ann Marie attended GAR Memorial High School in Wilkes-Barre. She was a
member of
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5257. She was also a member of St.
John the Evangelist Church in Pittston.
Ann Marie was a loving mother to the late Ann Marie Wilishefski, who
passed away May 17, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Orlando; daughter, Ann
Marie Wilishefski; father, Charles Czyzewicz; maternal grandparents, Ann
and Steve Cook; and brother, John Ritz.
Surviving are her two sons, Thomas Wilishefski and Albert Orlando and
wife, Tracey, Dupont; mother, Dorothy Czyzewicz, Hanover; brothers,
Thomas J. Cook, Mountain Top; and Richard Czyzewicz, Nanticoke;
grandsons, Jonathan Wilishefski, Mark Linker, Thomas (Tom Boy)

Giunta Amico of Wyoming passed away Thursday, July 21, 2011, in
Wilkes-Barre. She was the wife of the late Louis Amico.
She was born Friday, April 28, 1922, in San Cataldo, Italy, and was the
daughter of the late Salvatore and Grace Sberna Giunta. she graduated
from Pittston High School, Class of 1940.
Sara was a loving mother grandmother and sister. She will be dearly
missed by her family.
Surviving are her son, Tom and his wife, Leah Amico; sisters, Grace
Bentlage; Angeline and husband, Robert Staib; and Carmela Kauffman;
brother, Angelo and his wife, Joann Giunta; grandchildren, T.J. Amico;
Stacia and husband, Kevin Arnaud; and LeighAnn; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lucille Bruyneel, in 2007;
and sister, Michalena.

John F. San Angelo aka John F. Sandi, 96, died Wednesday, July 20, 2011,
from natural causes.
John was a life resident of Pittston, but resided with his sister,
Carmella Beierle-DeSimone, and her husband, Louis C. DeSimone, since
2001 in Passaic, N.J.
John graduated from Pittston High School in 1933 and upon graduation
received a gold pin award for 12 years of perfect school attendance.
After graduation, John began work as an office clerk in the Wilkes-Barre
branch of Universal Car Loading & Freight Distribution. Rising to the
rank of office manager, John retired after 40 years of service with the
company.
John was a dedicated and life member of St. Rocco's Roman Catholic
Church, Pittston, where he served as an usher at Sunday Mass and an
active member of St. Rocco's Fides Club. John also dedicated many years
of service to the Knights of Columbus and most especially to President
John F. Kennedy Council 372.
In addition to his sister, Carmella, John is survived by nephews,
Alexander Parente, Joseph San Angelo, John Parente, Anthony Perfetto,
Louis Beierle and David Beierle; and niece, Patricia Foglia.
John was predeceased by his parents, Giuseppe and Philomena San Angelo;
his sisters, Mary Parente, Caroline Parente and Ursula Perfetto; and his
brothers, Nicholas, Daniel and Frank San Angelo. John was also
predeceased by his lifelong friend, Nellie Lucarelli.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Graziano Funeral
Home, Pittston Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m.
at St. Rocco's Roman Catholic Church, Pittston. Entombment will follow

Leonard
S. DiMaria, 94, of Jenkins Township, passed away Monday, July 11, 2011,
at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Cianciana, Italy, his family immigrated to the United States
when he was 10 years of age. He was raised in Swoyersville and lived
there most of his life.
His wife was the late Mary (Chiazza) DiMaria, who passed away March 6,
1997. Together, they shared 51 years of marriage.
A U.S.
Army Veteran, Leonard honorably served his country during
World War II. While serving through Europe and Africa, he received a
Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal, and the European
African Middle Eastern Service Medal with 4
bronze stars.
Prior to his retirement, Leonard owned and operated Leonard's Economy
Market in Forty Fort with his wife, Mary, for 40 years.
While living in Swoyersville, he was a member of Broderick No. 2 Hose
Co., the Roosevelt Baseball Club and the Italian Reunita Society.
Leonard was a devout member of St. Anthony of Padua Church. Active
within his church, Leonard was a member of the Holy Name Society, where
he held several offices. He also was in charge of the ushers, was a
member of the church bazaar committee, and also helped with church
functions.
He was an avid Yankee fan who organized many trips to Yankees Stadium
for his church and social clubs. He also enjoyed bowling and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel; and his sister, Rosalie
Pyzia.
Leonard is survived by his daughter Rosa Del Regno and her husband,
Anthony Sr.; grandson Anthony Del Regno Jr.; granddaughter Dr. Diane Del
Regno and her husband, Craig Hopple; two great-granddaughters, Kayla and
Alyssa, with whom he enjoyed every moment he shared with them. He is
also survived by sister, Angela Passeri and her husband, Libero;
brother-in-law Leonard Pyzia; sister-in-law Rose Chiazza; as well as
several nieces and nephews

Sciandra Jr., of Pittston Township, passed away, Sunday, July 10, 2011,
in Hospice Community Care Wilkes-Barre.
Born January 12, 1934, in Pittston, he is a son of the late Salvatore
Smitty Shandra and Rose (Morreale) Sciandra.
Salvatore and his wife, Cecelia Sciandra, would have celebrated their
53rd wedding anniversary on September 6, 2011.
He was a graduate of Pittston Township High School. Salvatore was
employed by Boss Linco Lines in Buffalo, N.Y., and then worked at the
Berwick Power plant until retirement.
He served in the U.S. Marines.
Salvatore was a member of the Teamsters and Laborers Unions, Pittston
Social Club in Buffalo, N.Y., and the Oriels Club in Pittston Township.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Dave
Sciandra; daughter, Rose Marie Sciandra; sister-in-law, Mary Shandra;
and an infant son, Michael Sciandra.
Surviving relatives are brothers, Angelo Smitty and wife Marion Shandra,
Scranton, Joseph and wife Linda Shandra, Pittston, and John Shandra,
Pittston; sister, Madeline and her husband, David Fritz, Pittston;
sister-in-law, Janet Sciandra, Hughestown; daughters, Patricia and

Mary was employed for several years in the garment industry; she took
great pride in her immediate and extended family.
She was very active and enjoyed listening and dancing to music at the

Luciano Guarnieri; grandson, Charles Andrew Chiarelli.

Louise Snyder, 88, of 159 Oak St,. Pittston Township, passed away
Saturday, July 2, 2011.
Born on November 25, 1925, in Paradise, Pa., she was a daughter of late
Clyde E. Foust and Emma Jane Mohr Faust.
She was married to Robert I. Snyder on December 4, 1949, in Allentown,
Pa.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her three
sisters, Faylene Swartz, Lewisburg; Bessie Fry Betz, Milton; and Thelma
Buck, Turbotville; brother, Clyde Jr., and step brother, Allan Kaufman.
Betty was the last of her immediate family.
She and her husband, Robert I. Snyder, lived in Dunmore, before moving
to Pittston.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews who she loved very much.
She worked at Consolidated Molding in Scranton for many years.
She loved trips to Atlantic City before Mohegan Sun, and loved playing
bingo with friends.
Cremation took place at Maple Hill Crematory in Hanover Township.
Arrangements were made by Graziano Funeral Home Inc. Pittston Township.

Sunday afternoon, June 26, 2011, at home surrounded by her family.
Born in
Pittston on June 2, 1928, Leona was a twin daughter of the late Louis
and Carmela "Nellie" Tuttilmond.
She
graduated from Pittston High School and was a member of the
International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Leona left the work force in
1958 to raise her family and became a full-time homemaker and mother.
She returned to the work force after raising her two sons.
She was a
lifetime member of the St. Rocco's Christian Mothers Society.
Leona's
greatest joys in life were many, but most of all she enjoyed spending
time with her family.
She was
preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Michael Capitano, and her
parents, Louis and Carmela (Baiera) Tuttilmond; her identical twin
sister, Carmelita Maira; brothers-in-law, Sam Maira and Thomas Murtha.
Surviving
are her two sons, Michael and his wife, Maureen, and daughter Maria;
Louis and his wife, Gloria, and daughter Kristen; sisters, Sara Murtha,
Mary Lou Fitzpatrick and her husband, James; and several nieces,
nephews, aunts and cousins.
Viewing
hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
A Mass of
Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Rocco's
Roman Catholic Church. Celebrant will be the Rev. Paul McDonnell O.S.J.
Interment
services will follow at West Pittston Cemetery.

Costello
Helen
R. Costello, 86, a former resident of Avoca and Dupont, passed away in
the Chambersburg Hospital Sunday, June 19, 2011.
She was a
daughter of the late Winifred (Richards) and Thomas Williams.
She was
born on March 4, 1925.
Helen was a
graduate of Saint Mary's High School, Avoca, and she was president of
her senior class.
She won
many roller skating competitions at Pop's Roller Rink located in Avoca.
Helen earned a license in beauty culture and owned and operated the
former Main Beauty Salon in Avoca.
She and her
husband, the late Orlando R. Costello, moved to New Jersey in 1954. She
owned a beauty salon in Somerville, N.J., and later became a teacher of
cosmetology in Vineland, N.J. Upon their retirement, they moved to Las
Vegas, Nev., and enjoyed five wonderful years there.
After her
husband's death, she resided in the Costello family home in Dupont. For
the last two years, she has resided in Chambersburg near her daughter
Maureen Fiume and son-in-law Pete Fiume.
Helen loved
being with people, especially her family. She was a loving mother,
grandmother and wife.
Helen was
preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband; a sister, Grace
Ritz; and a brother, Billy Williams.
She is
survived by her daughter Maureen Fiume (wife of Peter); and a grandson
Peter Orlando Fiume of Portland, Ore.
Funeral
services will be handled by Graziano Funeral Home Inc., Pittston
Township.

hours will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Raymond W. McNulty, 64, of Pittston and formerly of
Wilkes-Barre, died Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the General Hospital.
Born on August 6, 1946 in Wilkes-Barre, he was the
son of the late Leo & Myrtle McNulty.
Ray was a graduate of GAR, class of 1964, Wilkes
University, and Marywood College. He taught English at the West Side Vo.
Tech for 32 years. Also, he was a popular coach of football, basketball,
softball, and volleyball.
He was a member of St. Rocco’s R.C. Church, past
president of The Holy Name Society, and a C.C.D. Instructor.
He was also a member of the RSVP Association.
Surviving is his wife, the former Jennifer Cumbo of
40 years. Also, he is survived by a brother, Leo, Harrisburg, sisters,
Jean McNulty and her Husband Rich of Wilkes-Barre, Ann Marie McNulty and
friend John of Shavertown and Margie Malacarne and husband Jim of
Wilkes-Barre. Also, in-laws, Bob and MaryAnn Ferretti of Arizona and
numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews
Preceding Ray in death was his sister Rose and her
husband John Berchmen, sister in law Nancy McNulty, sister in law
Phyllis Maffei and her husband Eugene Maffei.

was the wife of the late Henry McMullen.

Jerome J. Savoroski Sr. of West Pittston passed
away Thursday, May 5, 2011, in Wilkes-Barre. He was the husband of Linda
(Ferretti) Savoroski.
Born Nov. 8, 1948, in Exeter, he was the son of the late Albert and
Stephanie Szura Savoroski. He graduated from Exeter High School.
He served as a member of the
U.S. Navy.
Surviving relatives include his son, Jerome Jr. and Shelley Savoroski,
Wexford; brother, Albert and Cindy Savoroski, Dalton; sisters, Elizabeth
and David Balint, Exeter; and Joanne and John Reedy, Exeter; and
grandchild, Addison Savoroski.
Preceding him in death was a brother, Steven Savoroski.
Jerry was an inspiration to everyone. He was always the life of the
party and a very giving and caring man that always put a smile on
everyone's face.
Jerry was a devoted member of St. Cecelia's Church, Exeter.
He worked for N&B Enterprises, Wyoming Sand and Stone, and American
Asphalt before retiring. Jerry was a tireless worker who was committed
to his job.
The family would like to thank all of the staff on the sixth floor, and
also the intensive care unit at Geisinger Wyoming Valley for their
outstanding care of Jerry. They would also like to thank the Frank and
Dorothea Henry Cancer Center at Geisinger.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday from Graziano Funeral
Home Inc., Pittston Township.

and Pauline Casterline; and brother, Ambrose Meletsky.
Surviving are her son, Chester, and his wife, Kathy,
Naples, Fla.; and daughter, Deborah Sellitto, and her husband, Joseph,
Laflin; grandchildren, Gina Russo and her husband, Joseph, Ridgewood,
N.J.; Kristine Desciak and her husband, Edward, Ridgewood N.J.; Chad
O'Hara and his wife, Lisa, Manhattan Beach, Calif.; and Elizabeth

John A Butera, 76, of
Pittston, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011. He was the
husband of 48 years to Joyce (Leister) Butera.
Born January 29, 1935, in Pittston,
he was the son of Nellie (Carmella DeRosa) Butera and the late Angelo
Butera. He graduated from Pittston High School, class of 1952. He
retired from Babcock and Wilcox, Scranton, as a draftsman. He later went
on to work at Techneglas, retiring in 1997. John served in the U.S.Army
attaining the rank of Private First Class serving as Military Police
officer. He was a lifetime member of Serradefalco Society.
He was preceded in death, by his
father, Angelo Butera, and brother, Gasper Butera. Surviving is his wife
Joyce, his mother, Nellie Butera and children, daughter, Carmella and
husband Albert Fereck, Pittston, daughter, Christine and husband, Sam
Parry, Gibbsboro, NJ and son, John and his wife Rose Mary Butera,
Pittston; as well as grandchildren, Albert, Danielle and Kristen Fereck,
Camille and Robert Parry, and John C. Butera.

Pauline (Casey) Piechota, 77, a resident of Dupont, died Friday, April

business. Pauline was an active parishioner at Sacred Heart of Jesus
Church in Dupont and a member of the women's society, numerous church
projects, and events. She was a devoted wife and mother who was
dedicated to her family and loved spending time with them.
Pauline was
preceded in death by her husband, Frank; brothers, Joe and Mike Casey;
and sisters, Julie Hudzinski and Barbara Urtishak.
Pauline is
survived by her daughters, Donna Piechota of Dupont, and Deborah and her
husband, Michael Igoe, of Buffalo, N.Y.; and son Dr. Darren Piechota of

Konicki
Heaven welcomed a Cherub on Tuesday April 5, 2011 Helen A. Konicki of
Pittston Township. She was the widow of Peter J. Konicki who passed
away March 1, 2010.
Helen was born April 18, 1924 in Dupont,
Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late George and Francis (Tylutke)
Stadnik. She was a graduate of Dupont High School and Lackawanna Junior
Business College in Scranton. Prior to becoming a homemaker, she worked
for the Social Security Administration in Wilkes-Barre. Later in life,
she worked side-by-side with her husband at Konicki Pharmacy, Main
Street in Dupont.
Her greatest joy was her grand children. She
delighted in getting together for birthday dinners and holiday
gatherings and would always end each evening with “Love You!”
Throughout her life she enjoyed traveling with family, especially her
daughter Ellen.
She is survived by her devoted sister Mathilda
Scott, Mountaintop, Pennsylvania. A daughter Ellen and her husband
David P. Rudis, Pittston Township, Pennsylvania. Sons, Dr. John P.
Konicki and his wife Lynn, Dallas, Pennsylvania and Peter X. Konicki and
his wife Mary, Bear Creek, Pennsylvania. Grand Children: Kevin,
Kimberly, Kristopher, David and James Konicki. Also by a daughter
Karen.

Reggie
Paul
J. Reggie, 66, of Scranton, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at VNA
Hospice Care, CMC Hospital, Scranton.
Formerly of Pittston, he was a resident of the Gino Merli Veterans
Center, Scranton.
He was a son of the late Anthony J. Reggie and Jennie (Zaffuto) Reggie
of Pittston.
He was a member of Saint Rocco's Church, Pittston.
He proudly served four years in the
U.S. Navy in the
Vietnam War.
Paul was a well-known hair stylist in the Scranton area for over 40
years. He was the owner/operator of Designs Studio Hair Salon until his
retirement in 2009. He won several awards for outstanding hair styling
and was proud to have done hair styles for such celebrities as Peggy
Cass, David Cassidy and Carol Burnett.
Paul was also an outstanding artist and some of his earlier paintings
are currently displayed at the Gino Merli Veterans Center.
In the late '60s, Paul was lead singer for the musical group Salt and
Pepper along with his brother, Richard. The band went on to record for
Scepter Records in New York City, N.Y., owned by Burt Bacharach and
Dionne Warwick.
He was an avid photographer and videographer, and his love of music and
art will continue to be enjoyed by his family and friends for years to
come. His dog, Christan, was a huge part of his life and the love they
shared was immeasurable.
Paul is survived by his brother Joseph, Young Harris, Ga.; brother
Richard and sister-in-law MaryAnn, Drums; sister, Toni, Pittston; dear
friend, Kelly Hicks, Pittston; aunts, Josephine Halat and Theresa
Zaffuto, both of Pittston; and several cousins, nieces, nephews,
great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his best friend of more
than 40 years, Joseph Ventura of Scranton.
Our family would like to extend our great appreciation to Joseph Ventura
and his family for their continued love and support and for being a very
significant part of Paul's life throughout the years. We would also like
to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff and Paul's friends at the
Gino Merli Veterans Center for having made his stay there such a nice
experience for him. To his dear friend, Maura, words cannot express our
thanks for the friendship, fun and freedom he experienced with you. He
loved all of you very much.

R. (DelPriore) Fasciana, of West Pittston, passed away Thursday,
February 24, 2011, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre.
She was
married to the late Dr. Joseph A. Fasciana.

7, 1921, in Pittston she was a daughter of the late Elizabeth (Mack)
DelPriore and Ralph DelPriore.
Catherine
graduated from Pittston High School, and she started and ran the kitchen
at Doc's Sports Bar for 20 years, which was owned by her son, Guy
Fasciana.
She was
always soft spoken with a kind word for everyone who crossed her
path.
Catherine
was a member of the Christian Mothers of St. Anthony's Parish, and the
Chaplet of Divine Mercy Rosary Group where she was dedicated to divine
mercy devotions.
She was
preceded in death by brothers, James DelPriore and Joseph DelPriore; and
sisters, Donata Francello and Mary Melone.

are her daughter Maria Catherine Fasciana, West Pittston; sons, Guy
Joseph Fasciana, West Pittston, and Joseph Francis and his wife,

Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at home surrounded by the love of her
family.
She was
born in Sugarloaf, Pa., on September 26, 1939.
She
graduated from Hazleton High School.
She married
her high school sweetheart and became the beloved wife of Lewis A. Sebia.
They would have celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary in June.
Carol loved
life and loved to laugh. Her greatest joy was her family and she took
great pride in her children and grandchildren.
She was
preceded in death by her parents, Al and Catherine Corra of
Sugarloaf.
She is
survived by her husband, Lewis; and by her five children; son Lew and
his wife, Mary Jo, of Plains Township; son James and his wife, Mary Ann,
of Kingston; son Robert and his wife, Maggie, of Laflin; daughter Cathy
Sincavage and her husband, Stephen, of Pittston Township; and son
Michael and his wife, Lynn, of Plains Township; and her 13
grandchildren, James, Bryan (Tonte), Alexa, Danielle, Robby, Anthony,
AshLeigh, Thomas, Christopher, Sam, Ella, Stephanie and Tyler (Sincavage);
as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral
services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Graziano Funeral Home
Inc., 700 Township Blvd. (Pittston By-Pass), Pittston Township.
Friends may
call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until
the time of service Saturday.
Entombment
will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
In lieu of
flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Community Care,
601 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, PA 18704.

Argentina L. Ferretti
Argentina
L. (Nardelli) Ferretti, 93, passed away on Thursday, March 3,
2011.
She was an
outstanding wife, mother, and grandmother who had four children; Bob,
Lola (deceased) when she was just 3 years old, Nello Jr., and Linda
Savoroski.
Everyone
called her Tina.
Her kids
always asked her where the name Argentina came from, and she said
"I don't know."
Tina was a
daughter of Sebastian Nardelli (deceased) and Josephine Nardelli
(deceased).
She was
born on September 19, 1917, above what is now known as the Italian
restaurant in Old Forge "Revello's."
She met and
married Nello Sr., in 1940 and resided at 915 Wyoming Avenue, West
Pittston, during her entire life.
Tina was a
great cook; it was her passion. She raised her children with discipline,
and she was a fun Mom. She worked at Star Garment in Exeter for many
years. Her home was exquisite, and her love of family was superb. Tina
always had an abundance of energy her entire life and ran a meticulously
spotless home.
Her
husband, Nello Sr., preceded her in death in 1999. He worked as a coal
mine operator his entire life. Tina was also preceded in death by her
second child, Lola Marie, who passed away when she was just 3 years old
from an uncanny accident.
Also
preceding her in death were her brothers, Ray and Tony Nardelli; and
sister, Ann Abbott.
Surviving
are her sons Bob, of Gilbert, Ariz., and Nello Jr., of Jenkins Township;
and daughter Linda, of West Pittston. Also surviving are her sisters,
Rena Salerno and Dora Giovananni. Tina also had seven grandchildren,
Lola Marie, Mary Ann, Bob, Tony, Christa, Lynne, and Jerome Jr.; as well
as seven great-grandchildren, Sarah Rose, Rachel Rose, Jacob, Julia,
Michael, Lindsey, and A.J.
Tina was
full of fun and helped everyone in need.
She was a
devoted member of St. Anthony of Padua's Church in Exeter, and we would
like to extend our special thanks to Father Joseph Sibilano. The family
would also like to thank all the employees at River Street Manor Nursing
Facility, Wilkes-Barre, for their special and excellent care of our
mother. The family would also like to send a special thanks to all the
Nurses and Aides on the 6th floor at the General Hospital who took
outstanding care of our mom.
Funeral
services will be handled at the Graziano Funeral Home Inc., from 4 to 7
p.m. Sunday.
A Mass of
Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church at 10
a.m. Monday (9:30 am from funeral home).
The Rev.
Joseph Sibilano will officiate. Interment services will follow at
Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Carverton.

Michael F. Marranca
Michael F. Marranca, 78, of Pittston and Naples, Fla., passed away
Thursday, March 3, 2011, at the Physicians Regional Hospital, Naples,
Fla.
His wife is
Dolores Osticco Marranca.
Born on
April 29, 1932, in Pittston, he was a son of the late Mary (Falcone)
Marranca and Carmen Marranca.
He was a
graduate of Pittston High School and King's College, Wilkes-Barre. He
retired as CEO and President of Fidelity Loan/Savings Bank of Scranton,
after 30 years.
He was a
former bank examiner at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation
(FDIC).
Michael was
a member of the U.S. Army, held the rank of Lieutenant and served in
Korea. He was a member of the Serradifalco Society of Pittston.
He was
preceded in death by his brother, Charles Marranca; and sister, Loretta
Sciandra.
Surviving
are son Carmen Marranca and wife, Maryann, West Pittston;
granddaughters, Gianna Marranca, West Pittston, and Justine Marranca,
West Pittston; grandson Michael Marranca, West Pittston;
great-granddaughters, Ava, West Pittston, and Karamia, West Pittston;
brothers, Joe Marranca, Exeter, and Gregory Marranca, Pittston;
sister-in-law Janet Marranca, Exeter; brother-in-law Steve Sciandra,
Pittston; sister-in-law Fidelis and husband, John Altobelli, Jenkins
Township; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral
services will be handled by the Graziano Funeral Home Inc., 700 Twp.
Blvd., Pittston Township.
Calling
hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, and a Mass of Christian
Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Rocco's R.C. Church in
Pittston.

Josephine
(Guarnieri) Ritondo, of Swoyersville, formerly of Pittston, passed away
Saturday, March 5, 2011, in Wilkes-Barre.
Born
September 24, 1919, in Pittston, she was a daughter of the late Maria (Gruttadauria)
Guarnieri and John Guarnieri.
She was the
wife of the late Michael S. Ritondo.
Josephine
attended Pittston schools.
She is
survived by daughter Josie and Robert Kandrac, Swoyersville; sister
Grace Aquilina, Plainview, Long Island, N.Y.; brother Joseph A.
Guarnieri, Nanticoke; daughter-in-law Mary Eugenia Ritondo, Aberdeen,
Md.; grandchildren, Lori and Stacy Kandrac, Michael and Kerry Ritondo,
and Michele Yurechko; great-grandchildren, Owen Ritondo, Ethan Ritondo,
Anson Ritondo, Eden Ritondo, and Katie Yurechko; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
She was
preceded in death by son Michael C. Ritondo and brothers, Samuel,
Emilio, William, Ernest, and August.
Funeral
services will be handled by Graziano Funeral Home Inc., Pittston
Township.

hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Arlene
(Novobilski) Russo, of Pittston, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011, at
the Hospice Unit of Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre.
Born
February 6, 1935, in Dupont, she was a daughter of the late Gertrude (Kuligowski)
Novobilski and Andrew Novobilski.
She was the
wife of the late Philip Russo.
Arlene was
a former member of The Christian Mothers of St. Rocco's R.C.
Church.
She was
preceded in death by infant brother Robert Novobilski and sister Phyllis
Pierson.
Surviving
are children, Pamela and husband Ron Karalunas, Jenkins Township; Mary
Ann Yatko, Jenkins Township; Philip and wife Victoria Russo, Chicago,
Ill.; Patricia Purcell, Avoca, and Joseph and wife Kimberly Russo,
Collegeville, Pa.; grandchildren, Douglas Yatko, Dana Anderson, Kaitlin
Karalunas, Philip and Renee Russo, and Jenna Russo; and
great-grandchildren, A.J. Wickizer Jr. and Jack Pearson.

Rita Fitzsimmons
Rita Fitzsimmons, of Pittston, died on Friday, March 18, 2011.
She was
born and raised in Pittston, a daughter of the late Horace and Leona
(Murphy) Lyons.
She was
raised by a great-aunt and great-uncle, the late George and Theresa
Henzey.
She was a
1944 graduate of St. John's High School and was employed by the
McKettrick Co., located in West Pittston, for several years before
leaving this area.
Rita
resided in New Jersey, Colorado, and Florida for years before returning
to this area.
She was
employed by the Singer Corp. and the Treasury Department of AT&T
before retiring.
She was a
member of St. Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, Laflin.
Rita was
preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph, in 2003; her sisters,
Ruth Soell and Mary Elizabeth Knapp; and a brother, William Henzey.
She is
survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of
Christian Burial will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Maria Goretti
Roman Catholic Church, Redwood Drive, Laflin, 8:30 a.m. from the
Graziano Funeral Home Inc., 700 Twp. Blvd., Pittston Township.
Entombment
will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery Community Mausoleum in Carverton.
Visitation

Ann Kaminski
Ann
Kaminski, 87, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at home.
A lifelong
resident of Dupont, she was the wife of the late George Kaminski.
Ann
graduated from Dupont High School and was an active member of Sacred
Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont, and it Women's Society.
Her life's
work centered around her family, and she cherished the role of wife,
mother, and grandmother.
Her faith,
which sustained her through the loss of her husband and two children,
never wavered and serves as a comforting reminder to all who loved her
and will miss her.
The love
and devotion afforded by her can best be exemplified through the
tireless and compassionate care of her three children, George, Dianne,
and David.
The family
would like to thank her wonderful, loving caregivers, Midge, Ann, Eva,
Bev, and Lois for their kindness and dedication. The family would also
like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Martin Moran for his
sensitivity and concern.
In addition
to her husband, Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine and
Michael Prebish; her son Michael; her daughter Denise Kaminski Mullen;
sisters Catherine Yachna and Mary Ann Hetro; and brother Michael Prebish.
Ann is
survived by her daughter Diane Bryk, wife of Anthony Bryk, Pittston
Township; and sons George Kaminski and wife Elizabeth, Dupont, and David
and wife Martina, Pittston Township; daughter-in-law Judy Kaminski,
Dupont; son-in-law James Mullen, Mountain Top; sister Christine Cherney,
Hazleton; and brother Peter Prebish, New Jersey. Also surviving are her
20 grandchildren, Renee Mesaris; Karen, Terri, Jeffery, Michael, and
Kelli Kaminski; Susan Hood; Mary France; Ann Albus; George, John Paul,
and James Kaminski; Kate, Elizabeth, and Christopher Mullen; Sean,
Christopher, and Anthony Bryk; and David and Nicholas Kaminski; as well
as 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral
services will be handled by Graziano Funeral Home Inc., Pittston
Township, with calling hours to be held at the funeral home from 4 to 8
p.m. Monday.
A Mass of
Christian Burial will be held at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church,
Dupont, at 10 a.m. Tuesday (9:30 a.m. from funeral home).
